The Barkley has a passion for exceeding expectations and strives to provide the highest level of quality and personalized service. The experienced staff at The Barkley understands that each pet has a unique personality. Therefore, we offer custom-designed activity options to meet the lifestyle needs of each pet.
Day Camp Group Play
The Barkley provides discounted Day Camp days for its overnight guests. Day Camp is a “cage-free” environment, designed for dogs that are social with other dogs. Day Camp provides an outlet to expend excess energy, socialize, exercise and remain active. At Day Camp, there is never a dull moment and our schedule is packed with fun and activities. Personal Playtime/Cuddletime
A customized, one-on-one play and attention session with a handler. Family playtime accommodates up to 3 dogs staying in same suite.
Additional Business Walk
Our personal companion handlers ensure that Barkley guests take a business walk to use the restroom a minimum of three (3) times per day. Of course, additional potty breaks are always available to suit individual needs.
Gourmet Bedtime Biscuit
Our all-natural, handmade bedtime biscuits are simply mouth-watering and there’s no better way to say I miss you than to order one to be waiting on your pet’s pillow before retiring for the night.
Busy Bone
Dogs love these frozen peanut butter filled Kong treats as yappetizers, doggsert or simply to keep them entertained for hours!
Chew Bone Toy Rental
The ultimate for chewers! A strong nylabone-type toy to keep your pal busy and entertained.
Comfort Toy
A clean, new stuffed comfort toy for your dog to enjoy throughout his/her stay.

Pool Party
A 20-minute supervised dip in the indoor pool followed by a refreshing coat rinse and dry. Our indoor pool (with ramp access) is perfect for exercise, fun & games. It is heated to keep the pet comfortable before, during and after the session. Our salt-purified pool water protects against chlorine-smelling fur and dry skin.
Ride About Town
Wanna go for a ride? A luxurious ride about town to keep abreast on all the day’s sights and smells.
Ride to McDonalds
A ride making a strategic turn through the drive-thru at McDonald's for a choice of hamburger, cheeseburger, or Chicken McNuggets. Take out only.
Room Service
The ultimate in-suite dining experience prepared exclusively by Hyde Park Grille. Canine guests may enjoy an aromatic, tender cut Filet Mignon char-grilled on an 1800 degree broiler to sear in the juices and lightly dusted with a special seasoning to melt in the mouth. Served with a fine, Irish linen napkin.
Pee Pee Pads
The Barkley housekeeping staff can outfit any guest room with a fresh pee pee pad for those who prefer to potty inside.
Spa Visit
No resort stay is complete without a special visit to the grooming salon and spa. The Barkley highly recommends exit baths prior to departure.
Relaxation Massage
Due to the health-promoting qualities of deep-tissue massage, as well as its restorative properties, The Barkley offers pet guests private massage sessions with certified Canine Massage Therapists. Aroma-scented sessions not only comfort the patients, but also help with circulation, flexibility, stress, emotional/physical trauma, and early detections of lumps or growths.Click here for more information.
Trans"paw"tation Pick-up and Delivery
The Barkley provides pick-up and delivery service for our pet guests. Rates are determined by distance traveled and time of day (or evening).Click here for more information.
